Anyone know of any places that will put the trailer in the water for you in and around Essex. This will be the very first outing for us and if like to be on board as it enters the water to check for leaks and so on. Thanks

Pick a calm day and you can leave it attached to the trailer and check for leaks etc before fully committing. The stern goes well down before it floats so you’ll know pretty quick if you’ve got an issue ??

If you need help ask on here.

He asked for assistance not for a boat launching ceremony with booze and nubile dancing wenches. The uptake will be slow. These southerners never catch on. Now he's going to get assistance from some lonely heart being a give it a go hero- instead of 50 hands slinging it into the water and climbing aboard for a jolly.

I think you would be far better to have an experienced person who launches there own boat do it with you. If you have a firm do it they will only be interested in putting you in and out with a tractor. It would be far better being shown how a person with a car and trailer does it and learn from them.

What car have you got, what is the boat and how far would you be prepared to travel

I towed my re built Stella to Burnham yacht harbour & they picked it up, placed it in the water & checked it every day for a week, whilst I left it there. When I turned up, they congratulated me on the first Stella that had not leaked a drop. I stayed a few days, then sailed it to the Blackwater. At the end of the season I went back & they put it back on the trailer & i took it home again. I repeated that for 3 years, until I bought my new boat & they launched that as well, but this time from a low loader.
All civilised & easy
They have a slip so may push it into the water for you & put it against a pontoon if you ask.
