Does anyone know a yard/quay near Bodrum Turkey where I can leave our boat for a few weeks in September ?
I know about Yatlift (thats where the boat will go after October) The marina at Bodrum or Turgutreis is an option albeit and expensive one.
I know that the restaurant quay at Sogut might be an option but I dont have the contact details.
Any other suggestions ?
Thanks
Steve

If you are referring to Sogut beside Bozburun, the contact is.. erayaskin@hotmail.com
However this is a fair old hike from Bodrum assuming you plan to fly from Milas airport.
There is another Sogut in the gulf east of Bodrum,(korfezi?) but it is again out of the way.
Apart from the various marinas there is not really anywhere suitable
.Presumably you don't want to go over to Greece (paperwork etc.)

James - Thx, it was the Korfezi Sogut I was thinking of.
You're right it is a 2hr taxi ride to the airport but is do-able.(my son & daughter did it in May)
I may consider slipping over to Greece but Ive done a few "cloaked" entries in and out of Turkey/Greece this year and dont want to push my luck.
Rgds

In Kecibuku (Orhaniye) both the the Dogan hotel and Palmiye hotel have a jetty. Both are (as of a year ago) helpful and approachable. There are also a couple of restaurant jetties near the Palmiye whose names I don't recall but they too used to do this sort of thing afaik.

We're in Didim now. They offer discount for CA members and on flashing my RYA members card I got it as well although they don't mention RYA on their list.
About 1 hour 20 to Bodrum airport via private hire car cost 60 Euros which was arranged by one of the agents on site (office on the corner of the block next to the laundry).

It's probably not much help to you, especially as it's been a few years since I was in Turkey and you'll be getting more current info from other forumites, but Liz and I started our adventures in Yat Lift, living on Esper for five months on the hard over winter. We LOVED it. Have very fond memories of our time there. No doubt it has changed but it was a safe place and they know what they're doing. Of course I am assuming you want to haul out, not leave it in the water, which you wouldn't want to do there.
