Place des Indes, Boulvevard D\'aiguillon, antibes

Now, as one of the only people hereabouts from Bradford, I claim massive expertise on Indian restaurants. The T&A in Bradford even has a weekly curry supplement. Not sure of the name of the restaurant but it's the one nearest the port, next to nearest chandlery, on that road, yes, that's it. Anyway, it was fab. It only opened in septemebr and vair decent. Packed out. It's where there used to be a brazilian restaurant/bar, but which nobody went to cos they were dancing madly at the world cup, so servem right thiv gone bust. Much nicer than stuff in the UK cos they have nicer ingredients, perhaps. And people who are better at cooking too. And it makes a change from french food once in a while.

Do they do proper pakora though? As an ex-diner from Glasgow I claim precedence in matters of Indan cuisine;-)

Re: Wot about....

The couscous restaurant in Cagnes-sur-mer?

It's on the ?RN7 the back road parallel to the coast road that runs behind/north of the horse track. It's got an illuminated sign of a palm tree and it's name is .......... I've forgotten.

Anyway, there was a not especially young belly dancer when we were there who kept here Peke tied to the table whilst she "entertained" most of the tables. Not ours thank God. But the food was excellent, cheap and huge portions. Looking forward to going again as long as we can avoid the belly night.

um, didn't try the pakora. Anyway, ex-glasgow diner only gives you expertise of avoiding getting beaten up in a restaurant, or of actually getting beaten up in a restaurant, or of beating people up in a restaurant. I am putting you in category 1 what with you living in wiltshire. Wiltshire!

Re: It\'s called.......

Auberge Palmier da da

yeah I should have guessed
anyway, £36 for 2 starters + 2 large couscous (extra harissa willingly supplied albeit with somewhat raised eyebrows) + wine = 2 very well fed people
