What a brilliant time we all had! I haven't laughed like that in ages.
My perfect weekend started with me and Susan taking on board a surprise crew member - Buster - he turned out to be a lost dog whose owner has the same boat me and the poor mut thought we were him. Luckily he had a name tag, so we looked after him until he was collected.
Me and my piratess crew had a great night sail up after at 3am departure from BoC. I navigated while PJ helmed into the Walton channel and she nearly pooped her knickers as we sailed in with .7 neath us. (but then, she is a solent softie). We picked up a buoy at 10am, had breakfast, a kip and then thumbed a ride from Wonderman Clive arriving on the beach at around 5pm. After a disastrous bbq attempt, we all managed to eat and share drinks and catch up with people and play sword fights with the little'uns. The spectular bonfire was lit at 9pm by PJ emulating the olympic torch relay (well, it was lit from the embers of the bbq). Simon and his crew played us songs, we sang, danced, celebrated with Barbican Bill when he did a lap of honour with a union jack to celebrate Jessica's Gold. It was all in brill. Thanks to Ian for picking a good weekend and for everyone who turned up and joined in.
