Well, "Obviously", it's an awful lot bigger than it looks.

well, the landing speed for the Airbus is around 145kts, so all you have to do is find a headwind of 40kts or so, crank the ship up to 100 kts, lower all the flaps and wheels and gently lower the bird...

The landing was probably made easier by putting the ship aground.

I question why it would be necessary to ship a long-range aircraft by boat? It's kind of like composing an email, printing it off, and sending it in the post.
