The last time I saw the Breeze she was laid up on the slip at Porlock Weir in a sad state. She was sailing up until about 8 years ago.

She was used in a film being made in the Bristol Channel they painted one side black and the other white so in the film she played the part of two cutters.

You could probably get information on present owners from the harbourmaster at Porlock Weir.

I've a feeling she's still there. Will see what I can find out.

I may be over Somerset next week - if I am I will try to make a detour to Porlock.

I visited Porlock Weir today and Breeze was still on the slip, but looking in very poor condition. Lower planks missing and the stem in very bad condition. No cover so all the weather gets in leading to further deterioration. A local informed me that she had been out of use for several years and was unlikely to sail ever again. Apparently the owner is not interested in restoring her.

What a shame - if only someone or a group of interested people could take her over and save her for a few more years.
