Pilot Boat's Work is Never Done

Nicely done, to be pedantic that's the harbour patrol, not the pilots, although they are almost identical. If I ever wanted a serious power boat they'd be high up the list.

To be even pickier I believe she is the St. Nicholas, and is an EX pilot vessel. I have been on her, one year she was the start boat for the North Sea Race when the Haven Hornbill, which is usually kindly loaned for this purpose, was unavailable. One surprising thing I learned that day was that although Pilot Boats do carry an anchor for use in emergency they have no means of retrieving it - other than manually - so the anchor would be buoyed and left for recovery by a vessel equipped to haul it up!!
