Im currently looking at two boats, one is a Pilot 460 and the other is a CJR

I have owned some nice boats in the past, Aqua sport 25 with a 235 hp omc, and a welcraft 20 with a 175 Johnson. Unfortunately due to financially reasons I have had to down size for now, but I really do think the Pilot 460 looks like a mini Aquasport, very bulky for its size and looks like a good sea going boat, the CJR looks abit thin and dinky, Im planning to go out with me, my father and my friend about no more than about 2 miles offshore (of cardigan bay) in relative calm seas. What boat out of these two would you say is the best option?

Look forward to any replies.

The CJR is 14ft, I used one for years on the Fylde coast, they are a stable fishing platform, great in a following sea but they don't arf bang in the slightest head sea! mine had a 50 Evinrude on it. Crazy I know, but I did Douglas IOM in mine in under 3 hours, flat calm of course. lots of old ones around, complete with stress cracks!
Shetland Sheltie is a better boat, but CJR plenty good enough for inshore fishing.

I just won a 17 foot Pilot 560 with a 70 horse Johnson on ebay. So ill keep you up to date on how it goes. I only intend to go 1-2 miles out on calm days.
