Pillboxes on the Thames.

I know of two, one is buried but is beginning to arise from the dead. The other has disappeared completely and was located in Ferry Lane, South Stoke. One can still see the remnants of one on the tiny island at Child Beale. They are in my view an important part of British History and those remaining should be preserved.

There is a fantastically well preserved one on the approach track to rushey lock. It's locked with a steel gate , but it's in excellent nick.

About 20 yards into the field.

Next time anyone is passing under the Brunel Bridge at Moulsford look closely. On both sides of the river hidden in the undergrowth there is a Pillbox.
