B****RED if I can remember how to post a picture, or for that matter how I put the little picture on the side of each post, can someone remind me please. Thanks in advance. Cheers Mike

Here\'s how...

To include a pic with your post, you first need to load the pic to a server, so that it can be retrieved when your post is viewed. Most ISPs include free webspace where you can load pics. In extreme cases you might "borrow" a pic from another website, although this is technically infringing copyright. Then, when typing your post, you include the link by putting:-

[image]url[/image]

.....(where "url" is the complete address of the pic, including the http bit).

Bear in mind that including pics slows down the loading when someone views your post, so it's best not to overdo it or the forum will get very slow.

Just an idea...

On some other forums when a poster includes a picture, the poster includes '(pic)' in the subject line, so then peeps on a slow connection have the choice of whether to view or not. Why don't we do that here?

Better still - why not have Kim ask one of the software gurus to modify the forum software ever so gently, so that the [pic] tag is automatically added to the subject?

Better still, allow users to set 'low bandwidth=on' in their profiles, and then translate [image] tags into clickable tags to save users the time and cost when they are downloading via yoghurt pots and string, rather than broadband...
