Pick up crew briefly at Woodbridge ?

Is there a convenient quay/pontoon landing at Woodbridge at HW + 1 or 2 hrs neaps with 1.2 M draft without going into TideMill marina.
Please ?

If you don't know the river, you would be cutting it fine to think of getting down through the aptly named troublesome reach if leaving Woodbridge 2 hours after low water neaps, even with your modest draft. Possible, but far from straightforward. The growth if moorings all the way from Kyson point to Methersgate has made some of the nav marks much harder to spot since my youth.

Thank you for the useful replies.In fact ,looking for info. on the Tide Mill Granary wharf ,which seems inviting ,I came across the council info. and the Harbour Masters number.So have permission to moor to drop off crew .And in the light of your comment will do this no later than HW so that i don't push my luck unduly on the return down river ,even in a Super Seal with just sufficient dropped for steerage.

If you leave the Granary Wharf at or soon after HW you would have no problem going through Loders Cut and avoid Troublesome Reach, we left the Tidemill YH last Friday about 2 hours before HW, our sounder showed 0.5 m under the keel on the cill, we draw 1.0 m, at the shallowest part of Loders Cut we had 1.9 m under us.

Thanks will look at that although HW wil have about 1M less starting height than you did as its coming onto neaps - affects both routes of course.

Beware at lodders cut as well not to cut the corner if going the long way as there is a sand bank..I know I got a mooring at number 129 and thats by lodders cut and can see in the sand someone cut it very fine last weekend, and sunday 27 june someone cut it to fine and got stuck and had to wait for the tide to come back in.. be aware if you are getting close to the bottom that right by the pontoon of the deben yacht club there is a sand bar as well. can see it on the web cam at low tide..

Thanks Leighb ,I missed the cut on the way into Woodbridge as it appears like a tidal channel between marshes rather than a canal with stabilised banks .
And it is poorly identified on charts .
But I followed a larger vessel through on the Saturday at a smart pace and indeed found plenty of water even on a neap before HW ,so used it twice again on the Monday when pushed for time.

Definitely sitting in mud! I can see it from my window.

There was approx only 600 mm depth available at the outer end on the second tide at 1851 on the 2nd July when the marina cill had 2m over it.
Would seem to gain a further 600 mm on a typical spring so more do-able.
