Sir Robin Knox Johnston: UK -- Missed him, he seaked along inshore to the start position and we missed him. What a pity.

We have turned out perpendicular to the coast, travelling roughly North, as directed by the Ertzaintza. The photo is taken looking East towards the start point, under the distant headland (Cape Villano) as we pass through the middle of the spectator fleet.

We are roughly astride the planned race route!!!!! How the competitors could even think of coming West towards us from the start point along the planned track is a mystery to me!!

Eventually they passed along a narrow corridor further inshore, as seen in the final photo -- The chase begins:

what flag is flying on Boss ?
I see RKJ uses the white ensign - presumably as RYS
