Julie,
Pop down to OV, just in front of the Harbour Lights Cinema is a Wing Sail Cat thingy with a motoring under sail inflatable triangle, hanging off its guard rails upside down, about as close as I've ever got to seeing one in action!! Paul

Actually saw a gentleman putting up a 'motoring cone' on his saily boat last week at the mouth of the Hamble. Nice to know the rules are not dissregarded by all.

There is such a cone in our local Chandlery Julie, you could nip round there to photograph it?

Would the supertankers using Solent approaches be expected to display a 'constrained by draught' signal? For surely they would be constrained?

Have never seen the day light sign, seen the night one, a few times, have new camera that will take night pics now, so will try when on night hours next. I can see I will have to do a bit of photo editing at this rate to get the photo's I need.
If you see any take a pic please.

Hoe about this one? Not very clear, but realistic 'cos without binoculars you can never see them until far too late anyway!
