Can anyone please help me check the model of engine I have in my newly acquired Aquanaut cruiser?

The engines are 80hp 4 cylinder diesels, 1978, Peugeot with stampings on the engine blocks as follows:

Port 5630300055 INDENOR AS10GU X718315?X 778833

Stb 5630300055 INDENOR AS10GU X7184734X 781467

The engines are almost certainly either XD88 or XD90. Aquanaut have been very helpful but their records don't go back that far. Peugeot less so.

I have the Haynes workshop manual for PEUGEOT diesels of that vintage.

Can anyone suggest where I can get this info? Other alternative would be to remove cylinder head and measure bores but I don't want to do this if it can be avoided

Thanks in advance

GOSH

here suggests that one has gear driven 'cam, one chain drive, so easier than taking the head off.

From what I can see, if they're XD88 or 90 they're not 80hp unless modified from the car spec.

I'm off to NL tomorrow to hopefully finalise a Gruno 38 purchase....only one engine though.

Do you know the maker of the engine? The Indenor engine was used as a base engine by Volvo, DTN and I believe Vetus. I have a similar XD 88 by DTN and having difficulty finding a source of spares in the UK, however I have a contact in Holland.
There is a company in England that deals with old Peogeot engine spares. Please PM me if you need the info.

The dutch manuals site has this for indenor dtp 40/50/62/70 & there have been a couple of threads (from one guy) asking about these as10gu's on a dutch newsgroup- no help unfortunately, but he thought they were 62hp.
