Petter Mini Six

I have recently purchased a Westerly yacht with the above inboard. The engine looks immaculate but has recently developed an oil leak from the rear of the engine. Does anyone have an address to obtain a workshop manual and spares in the U.K., or preferrably Scotland. I am intending to carry out a major overhaul this Winter.

just type petter mini on a search engine and you should find a parts list just about everything bar cylinder heads are available

Did find a site with cylinder heads for sale, only problem was
they wanted £700 plus vat... suppose it would not seem so bad if it was for a pair.

But this was EACH !... wonder how many they actually manage to sell !...

I get filters etc. from my local plant hire firm. they still carry a lot of spares for the air-cooled version of this engine !

I have one in my garage that came out of my boat after I replaced with a Yanmar 1GM if you get stuck. If you want new spares I used to get all of mine from Purbeck Marine in Poole 01202686592 or e-mail purbeckmarine@aol.com

What an Engine. Anyway spares are available from Lister/Petter at their Glasgow address. It should be in yellow pages.Remember if it`s sea water cooled anodes must be renewed at least annually due to aluminium cylinder blocks. Happy motoring/sailing.
