Petrol supply

Can anyone tell me where the last place to get petrol is downstream before Teddington Lock? Need riverside for internal tanks.

In central london somewhere i would imagine. Why can't you fill up upstream ( assuming you are coming through ) ?

Ah, my wording was not clear. Where, on the non-tidal thames travelling downstream towards Teddington is the last place to get Petrol riverside, before Teddington Lock.

But I may be corrected.
Thames Ditton marina states "diesel" but the website hasn't been updated for ages and there's nowt below Kingston.

Shepperton Marina is probably your best bet. Thames Ditton Marina used to have diesel but I am not sure about petrol. Also, they are not listed for any fuel in the current edition of The River Thames Book or the EA Cruising Guide.

Possibly because the chandlery is run by a different outfit - but then I'm not a local.

Thames Ditton Marina Chandlery (the last before the tidal) still does
Calor Gas, Diesel and pumpout but no petrol.

Gravesend now has a visitors pontoon where it may be possible to walk to a local petrol station to fill a can.
Mind you think the nearest on is about a mile away,however it may provide you with somewhere to moor in order to replenish your tank from any containers you may have bought with you.
After that its 30 odd miles to MDL at Chatham for petrol.

Last place for petrol is Shepperton above that it is Penton Hook, Windsor and Bray.

Below Shepperton there is definitely no petrol and the tidal Thames has none either.

Looks like I will fill up early and top up at Shepperton.
I won't be going beyond the Barrier, but need enough to get down to West India Dock and back again twice - for the pageant. I have more than enough fuel capacity but like to set off with a full tank

Just so you're aware, Penton still has problems with their petrol tank so none available there until it's fixed.

Just to confirm petrol is not currently available at Penton. No date yet as to when it will be.
