petrol available?

Hi all,
Am based at mersea and am thinking of a trip up the Thames to london, weather permiting, and was wondering how i go about finding out where i can get petrol from etc, boat will do about 100miles on a tank, but wouldnt like to push this!!

You can get petrol in Burnham on Crouch at Essex marina or up the medway at Gillingham. From then on you are on cans. If you are going to St Kats, there is a petrol garage just a short walk away on the Highway, but take a trolley. Not sure about garages near the other London marinas.

If you filled up at Gillingham, I guess 100 miles would get you to London and back especially if you make good use of the tides. Any chance you can carry some spare in Jerry cans. 40 litres kept somewhere secure and well vented would add a decent lump to your range and save the walk in London to get fuel.
