This was a classic triumph of enthusiasm over common-sense. Freya's windows needed to come out, to be resealed. Initially, I thought "lots of screws, bit of gunge, they'll pop out easily". Duh! One cracked perspex window later, I pose the questions to the wiser men and women on this forum:
a. Who sells perspex in a smoky blue colour?
b. Is it easy to cut and shape.

Chagrined of Germany :(

There are usually several ads in the back of pbo. You may also find local stockists but they may have to order a whole sheet if want to match the colour exactly. Perspex is one name for acrylic, ICI I think, other manufacturers will have different names.

Polycarbinate, Lexan or similar is a better option, does not crack, machines easier.
Used for vandle proof bus shelters, bulletproof glass, you can hit it with a sledge hammer without damage, perspex will just shatter.

Polycarbonate is sensitive to catastrophic damage by solvents so it is vital that a suitable sealant is used. Also I believe it is more easily scratched than acrylic. It is, however, a good choice, but more expensive, if you are expecting the windows to be attacked with a sledgehammer.
