Hi all

Can anyone tell me where to get new Perspex Windows and Rubbers for a Hardy Pilot?

Thanks for your help.

Trudie

I had new windows cut, and in the case of two of them moulded to a curve, by Pecision Plastics in Colchester using the old windows as patterns about 2 years ago.

They didn't do the rubber so I bought that from Cherry's Chandlery in Bournemouth.

We used them about then too and it was not a very good experience. We were advised to go up one size of screw to over come damage to the old holes and selected a plastic that needed ordering. A date was given when we were to collect the windows and screws. I phoned to ensure they were ready when they were due but when we got there neither the plastic nor the screws had been ordered. We agreed to use a different plastic that was in stock rather than waste a further day. When latter that day we collected them we found the screw holes were the wrong size. When going to fit them found some were not even drilled. When a complaining I was told what did I expect with a rush job and a refusal to reimburse me the cost of getting the missing holes done locally. When finally fitted many holes, even on the flat sheets, were in the wrong place. All in all avoid them if you can or if you do use them we warned as their work does not match the name!
