Perspex Supplier Southampton

Hi all,

I need to replace the clear perspective on my chart table as well as the much thicker smoked persepx on the transom gate. Am assuming it is Perspex though it might be acrylic.

Does anyone know of a supplier in Southampton, ideally I want to take the original to them and have the new pieces cut to size.

Google Perspex Southampton for a choice of potential suppliers. The transom gate is probably polycarbonate. You will find most suppliers will cut to size or pattern and polish edges for you. Probably worth getting any fixing holes drilled as well.

I'd expect the transom gate is acrylic not polycarbonate. Though P is more impact resistant, it is much softer and more prone to scratching. Acrylic makes more sense in this application

Perspex is just a brand name; it is actually acrylic

There are loads of suppliers findable on google. You might find it cheaper to mail your existing parts to a distant supplier and get a sort of middle of country price rather than a "marine" price
