A mail shot popped through my letter box this morning which might be of interest to others
Strangely it was addressed to a Company that we wound up about 10 years ago, so their database isn't very up to date, the envelope looked like it had been typed on an old typewriter so I'm guessing its a small one man business.
They offer cut to size Perspex, acrylic & polycarbonate, drilling, milling and contouring. 1 off to 1000
The company is Wake Plastics and they are in Isleworth 020-8560-0928 - no website :(

I may give them a call as my instrument control splash cover is cracked.

No connection etc.

When I did my windows and made the washboards I found the problem was to find people who had the right materials in stock. I could get Perspex from lots of sign writers but getting the right sizes in the right thickness and tint was very much harder. If I had been prepared to by full size sheets it would have ben a little easier. In the end I found somebody in Plymouth who was very helpful; not surprisingly he did quite a bit of work for the boating industry.

Perspex is not the best of materials to go out to sea with, even if you choose the thicker sheeting. There are many alternatives that will stand up much better, nothing more disconcerting than a broken companionway cover or worse, a forward facing opening.

Good luck and fair winds. :)
