Perspex or equivalent supplier NW England

Does anyone have a recommendation for a Perspex supplier in the North West. Cheshire/Manchester/Liverpool area. I am considering replacing the windows on a 23ft Jeanneau Tonic. I am not sure what they are made of can anyone tell me? I presume perspex. 10mm thick, brown tint.

Perspex and Plexiglass are trade names for poymethyl methacrylate more commonly called "acrylic".

Polycarbonate eg Makrolon and Lexan, is an alternative which has some advantages, eg shatter resistance, and some disadvantages eg more easily scratched

Your Yellow pages, or Yell.com should help you find local suppliers especially for acrylic

try a local sign manufacturer, they will probably have offcuts and cut them to your template

You try these at junction 3 of the M53. Alternatively try Ebay.

You could try Eagle Boat Windows in Skipton, or maybe that's too far out for you. I haven't yet bought anything from them, so can't recommend or otherwise. Tel 01756 792097.

Hi, I get mine from Mabron Plastics in Accrington, they are very helpful and if you are lucky, they will have offcuts of a size that you need which will be much cheaper.
