I have noticed amongst YM quiz awards McMurdo MOB personal locators (whristwatch etc.) These locators emit 121,5 satellite frequencies.
What is the stautus of such devices within IMO regulations ? Obviously not EPIRBs as these have to transmit the vessel code.
Any personal experiences with such locators ?
