From the news item about the Royal Row Barge on here today
"The motors batteries are re-charged by kinetic energy produced as a result of the boat moving through the water, becoming more efficient."
So the blokes rowing are dragging some little propellors through the water which are running dynamos to charge the batteries to run the motors to drive props to push her along....
Surely the extra drag caused cannot be less than the thrust from the electric motor?
Am I missing something or are Newton's law's still in force?
