I have a Perkins Perama M35, however we have limited documentation with it. We have the 4 page 'user guide' (which shows where the dipstick is, tells you how to start is, and what type of oil it needs - not exactly detailed info!), we also have a workshop manual for the M20/M25/M30 (it does not specifically cover the M35 - although I believe the construction is very simalar).
We are looking for a new prop and when getting quotes have been asked for Maxmium Manf's RPM - I can't seem to find this anywhere on the net. All I can find is the following:
Rated 35hp @ 2,800 rpm
High Idle/Degregulated 3,900 rpm (this is for the Volvo 2040 - but I believe they are the same engine?)
Is either of these the 'maximum rpm' - 3,900 sounds way too fast (with the current prop we can get her to 3,100 ish - I appreciate maximum is without load - but still sounds like a lot)
I saw a spec sheet on BoatDiesel.com which looks like it has more info - but you can't get unless your a paid member, all it will give me as a non-paying member is very basic info which I already have.
Any advice?
Jonny
