Hello, I'm new here. I have a Perkins HT6354 in my boat, it's the contra rotating engine on port side, when it's sat at idle no load, it warms up to 95degs in around 15 mins? Iv done all the tube stacks, impeller, ware plates, thermostat, checked circulation pump, all the obvious stuff seems to be ok but it still wants to warm up to fast with no load? If anyone else has any ideas then I'd really appreciate it... thank you I. Advance.

Presumably rather than sitting at idle it is under power it gets even hotter ?
Possibly the raw water pump is worn and not pumping adequately?
Consider the possibility of a past impeller failure and bits of impeller remaining in the system, possibly in a cooler down flow from the pump?
From discussion with a friend I think the cooler that sits on top of the Perkins engine and is cooled by raw water can be prone to corrosion ?

I agree with debris from past impeller failure, however OP says he has done all that.

On HT6 Bowman heat exchanger which is pretty sound sits on the front of the engine not on the top, Range 4 with the the dreaded Perkins Manicooler sat on the top and if you have cooling issues with one of these you are in deep poo!

Hi all the coolers have been removed and cleaned, and are free from impeller blades ect.. wev by passed the intercooler as they clog, there are no signs of head gasket failier and the water circulation pump is working fine. Stat is operating could be flow rate from jabsco raw water pump?

Hmm I thought Ocean 37s that had contra rotating engines, which isn't all of them, had the port engine as the standard rotation left hand anti clockwise when viewed from rear.

Suggest you shut sea cocks remove strainer mesh and then have a good look inside, I've had debris stuck in there that's not in the strainer mesh itself and not obviously apparent.

You sure its actually getting that hot that quick? Have you verified the temp with a hand held infra red thermometer?

( I ran 6.354's for 13 years, I doubt you've burnt enough fuel in 15 mins of idle to heat all that coolant and cast iron to 95 degs)
