Hi,
Having recently had a pretty serious incident with a boat equipped with HT6354 Dot 2's I was wondering was there much difference/improvement when the Dot 4/Range 4 versions were launched?
I have read about the scavenger pump/injector pump/manicooler replacement parts issues but I believe this has mostly been addressed by the Broom Owners Club.
Are fresh water boats less likely to suffer from the Manicooler issues?
Are the Range 4 turbo's watercooled instead of oil cooled?
Any advice on what to check on a Range 4 would be appreciated. Also how can they be identified compared to a Dot 2?
While I am trying to avoid a boat with Perkins, there are very few boats ticking the boxes and within budget with other engine options.
