The temperature alarm on my 6354 has decided to turn itself on permanently despite the gauge reading the normal 80 degrees C and everything else appearing to be OK (coolant level steady, sea strainer clear, raw water pumping well etc).
Is there any way of testing the sender with a multimeter to determine if it is faulty and is there anything else that should be checked as a possible cause?
If it is the sender unit, can anyone advise on the best way of removing it without breaking it off as it looks well painted and corroded in!
Thanks
