Does anyone know how to remove the tachometer drive from this engine. It is an electro-mechanical device fitted on the front
of the engine. My boat is a 1976 Finnsailer 35.

Where on front of engine, perhaps a photo would be of help. On my 4236 the drive is on the back or the engine, I believe that it was supplied by Lancing Marine, contact them (Google) were very helpful when I needed parts, have your engine number to hand!

It's located below the header tank on the port side of the front of the engine, but is difficult to see properly because of the tank.
