perkins 103-6 parts (perama m20)

Volspec.co.uk are the people on the East Coast and are usually good. From memory the M20 was taken over by Volvo Penta and the spares are usually interchangeable AND unbelievably sometimes cheaper - well the VP exhaust elbow was a few years ago when I had to get one for my Perkins M20.

The Perkins M20 is a marinised Perkins 103-06. It is actually a Japanise designed and manufactured engine that Perkins got the distribution rights for. Perkins sold engines to Volvo who put their own marinseing kit on and called them the Volvo 2020.

I have a 103-06 that was used with keel cooling on a canal boat and I am looking for a tube stack to put in the exhaust manifold/header tank. I also need a raw water pump and a housing for the govoner where it fits.

Thanks for the pointer to Volspec, I will try them for the bits I want.

spare parts

your engine was originally japanese and I think used for fork lift trucks and pumps. You can buy all non marinised spares (like crankshafts etc.) from these guys in Southampton and elsewhere http://www.selwood.co.uk/main_branches.html
I have had valves - cylinder head gasket and all sorts of bits and bobs off them in the past for the PERAMA M20 engine - might be worth comparing to volvo prices
