Perils of a 'daft name'

I bet this RNLI rescue wouldn't have made the local papers if the owners hadn't chosen such a memorable name for their boat...

'Oh My Cod' we've run out of fuel - boat with daft name needs rescuing.

Coincidentally (if not very interestingly...), the chippy near my office is also called Oh My Cod. Far better chippy name than boat name

I've always wondered if people think through the need to spell your boat name phonetically to the coastguard in case of emergency. This may generate serious thread drift but my favourite around the Solent was "slartibartfast". All I can say to that is 42
