Its now a land locked harbour, has been for more years than I can remember, very pretty though,
Only possible to visit by anchoring off the large beach there, Its couple of miles down the coast
from Fowey.
The beach is privately owned and is a now a camp/holiday complex
I stayed on the camp site some 5 years ago and I was intriged with the harbour. It has a channel leading to it which had to be dreged on a very regular basis. The entrance was a natural place for the local sand to be deposited in so it was a battle that could never be won. The actual harbour basin is still entact and makes a nice setting but the only floating items are Ducks. The remains of the lock gates are still there. It is interesting to look at. The beach is privately owned by the camp site who have security 24/7 but I would not have thought you would have a problem landing if you anchor off. I seem to remember that it is shallow for a long way off the beach, but I could be wrong.
