Peel IOM water retension scheme

This went live this morning. There will be a minimum of 2.5 metres depth at the Flap gate. Downside is that at neaps (as now) you only have 1 1/2 hours either side of high water to enter or leave. Maybe not such a good idea? I was there this morning (Sat) and just managed to get out 1 3/4 hours after HW this morning.

Brilliant ... Well done Peel

Port St Mary have started work on their marina ... It was mooted 14 years ago .... The Peel sill was mooted 17 years ago.

Hola to all those who got washed away in Douglas when the programmers had dyslexia and pulled the plug ... I was there but didn't have to make an insurance claim - My mast and spreadeds just missed a google of other standing rigging and when the tie came in I was away pdq to PSM.

Here's a cheer to Peel - and it'll be nice not having to either go alongside the breakwater or try to work out if the yellow buoy is yellow or belongs to Trinity House ... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

For various reasons we might need to base ourselves in IOM. When should we book a berth in Port St Marys. Or is there a web site. I'll have a look anyway!!
