Despite the occasional lapse into pedantry, I like to think that I'm reasonably easy-going, and don't nit pick about details that don't really matter.

However, on reading this article, I feel moved to comment about their spelling. Max Aitken was one of the originators of the Cowes to Torquay race, a yachtsman of distinction and, through the Daily and Sunday Express - which he owned - a constant enthusiast for getting out on the water, whether with sail or power.

Surely to God, one of Britain's main mobo magazines should be able to spell his surname properly?

Journalists are the section of society with the least knowledge on the greatest range of subjects. They only know what they think the person they just interviewed on the phone said. Perhaps.
 
Well, if that's true, why do so many people on these forums like to the Daily Mail and the Torygraph?

I think some people only know what they think the journalist said about the person they just interviewed on the phone said.... no, hold on..
