PC\'s wireless etc..and off sailing

Blimey that was 'ard work.. bought a wireless router and a new PC- moved the other two into my two daughters rooms.

Connected all three with new wireless cards via the router, then to the internet, sorted the yahoo broadband content and email controls, backed up the music and photo files, connected all three together, downloaded and run avast (good stuff and free, found 4 trojens CS one didnt) connected daughters webcams and set up messenger.

Off sailing tommorow and haven't even packed me bag

Anyone else out over the weekend 'till wed eve? Back out Friday for "kids Out"

Sounds impressive Ian but you forgot to mention when you started. If it was this morning then well done mate. Course if you started back in February then it's a different story and about on a par with my networking abilities.

Did three hours when the router arrived 'cause XP wouldn't accept the drivers connected by USB. Ethernet connection sorted that (BT Help desk OK)
Three hours taking then apart and loading wireless cards and drivers and doing the network stuff including downloading avast, ie explover whatever and updates
Not a word now, but it seems stable, even the laptop is connected! Media player plays mp3's from another PC..

Sounds good. Perhaps, instead of buggering off sailing, you'd like to come up and help me reconfigure my network. Moving house this weekend and have 3 PC's to connect to a wireless router - previously all hard wired except wireless laptop. I'm guaranteed to screw something up!
