Has anybody any experience of enclosing a PC monitor (touchscreen) into something that remains usable, but safe ie dry within the marine environment?

I have now assembled all the necessary parts for my boat PC and have got a small monitor that I would now like to locate in the cockpit/under the sprayhood. I clearly need something to keep it safe, but usable.

Anybody?

Waterproof= sealed. Outside = bright display = high current = hot. Added to the temperature sometimes experienced under the spray hood and overheating leading to reduced life are your enemies.
There are specialist outdoor / marine monitor suppliers, but quite pricey.
Homemade I would think some sort of labyrinth vent system might help.
