PBO is now at a reduced price on Zinio - £29.99 vs £46 UK and £60 Europe subs which is much better pricing than it used to be. www.zinio.com You can download sample magazines free of charge to see whether you like the system - as far as I am concerned it is the only way I can subscribe to magazines as a liveaboard.

What format is it though - proprietary? I'd be over like a shot if it were pdf or something standard that I could move to an ipod for reading on the move....

No, they don't have a reader for any of the PDAs or players but the quality on a laptop is so brilliant you won't want to bother with hard copy magazines after you've got it. I have a whole library of different mags on my hard drive all searchable! Mostly they are a LOT cheaper PBO etc. used to be more expensive in Zinio than hard copy but they have reduced the price.

The one I'm really waiting for is New Scientist - keep writing to NS and Zinio but nothing yet. Try it, you won't be disappointed and there are plenty of free trial downloads - the quality is good enough to enjoy photographic mags.

been using it for a few years now for Cruising World. it would be great if they were all available like this.

[/ QUOTE ]Is Cruising World relevant to cruising in the Med?

Zinio told me a few days ago that they will soon be bringing out some form of reader that uses a web browser. It will be interesting to see how that works. The existing system is great - provided you use a Windows PC.
