PBO, Lidl, antifoul...

I know I keep going all PBO, but for anyone planning to do their own antifouling this year, Lidl are flogging 200W electric scrapers for £14.99...

I'm starting to think you should sell the Sealine, grow a beard, brew your own 'real' ale and buy a small sloop from around 1976, preferably without any electronics other than one of those circulating echosounders which you will be permitted to salvage from somewhere for less than a tenner.

I know, sad, isn't it? But I'll be buggered if I give up boating, and saving a few hundred quid by slapping on my own antifoul is another few hundred quid in the tanks.

Anyway, I can't be a bobble-hat cos I just shelled out for leather and stuff. If I was really from PBO I'd be knitting my own seat covers from recycled mooring warps.
