PBO JUNE CD ROM

Being down under, we are 1-2 month behind, still waiting for MAY issue, what is on the cd. We don't always get the extra's down under. Just in case we don't get it, I like to know what I might be missing, or what to look forward to.

If you insist! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif It contains a range of sea saftey in conjuction with the RNLI (UK life boat service). Covers a range of boating activities dinghy sailing,sailing, motorbaoting, spoartsboating PWC's and diving. Covers issue such as safety kit, 1st Aid , waether, wind and tides etc etc. It not bad, has some good diagrams in places - how tides work - Springs vs Neaps. And has few "games" regarding such things as MOB and steering against tides.

Re: PBO JUNE CD ROM (messed up my settings)

Just been playing with it. Only feature I really found useful was the 'chart demo' .... and only because I am Solent based and the charts are actually useful. However, be warned, after loading the chart database, many of my display options became corrupted! (in fact, did not know some of them even existed). Had to do a 'System Restore' to get back to normal.

(And yes, I keep a complete hard-disk backup in case things get really bad!).
