Really impressed by PBO forward planning. Received February issue a couple of days ago, complete with Sam Llewellen feature on his visit to the LIBS.
Still not January yet, and the show doesn't start for another 6 days.
Does the mag really have to be printed that far in advance?

One other problem from the early publication dates. I recently contacted an advertiser about a windlass to be told that the prices quoted in the Jan issue were no longer valid. They had to place adverts 8 weeks ahead of publication date and prices had gone up. The best they could do was not far short of £100 more than in the advert. So, no sale.

Not sure where I would stand in terms of sale of goods acts etc but I suppose the get-out is the advert where prices are shown as "from £££" etc.

You mean there's actually a feature on someone's visit to the Show?? I wonder how much else they make up at other times of the year! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

At least he's not writing about small boats. Does anyone else find two full page columns about the joys of small boat ownership, both written in a jokey style and placed next to each other in the magazine a bit samey?
