Paying for a Monitor Windvane in US$

With the US dollar low against the pound it seems like now would be a good time to buy a Monitor Windvane. [Price around US$4,500 for my boat.]

What would be the best way to make the payment safely? Credit card or what?

A wire transfer of funds from your bank to the Monitor folk's bank is probably one of the safest ways of getting the money to them.

Why not buy dollars at Post Office and visit Monitor stand at LIBS The owner is usually there, nice helpfull man. Possibly get extra show and cash discount and be able to discuss import into UK of this manufacturers sample or gift from friend.

Look, for the price differential, have a holiday in the states, bring it back with you.. deal, ie get the price down even lower.

if you want, use the laptop to make CE stickers lol...

If you have one, use an Amex card. Booked a holiday in US$ and got the bank rate on the day - 2.0612 rather than the tourist rate or lower rate that most other cards seem to use.
