Probably the last of the small old DIY boatyards on the Mudway , where you wandered down to " The Pier" to locate the crane driver to discover when he might be free to lift your boat and if you were really lucky somebody else might be around to help get those heavy slings under your boat.
The site has now been sold for housing and all the "long term restoration projects" have been given their marching orders, one or four will be heading directly for a skip.
Would not mind buying one of the houses but suspect well above my price bracket, the other problem is according to the plans the plots are only 35ft wide and ones money pit is 38ft.
