Boat just lifted out and as ever green weed etc. like glue just above the waterline. Scraping not very successful. Will Patio magic solve the problem? It gets such good write ups and seems to deal with anything & everything.

Get some Starbrite instant hull cleaner from the swindlers. Apply, make a brew, drink brew, remove growth with used pan scourer. Patio magic would probably take a week or so to kill anything off.

I take it you mean that the weed has stuck to bare gelcoat rather than scrubbable boot top. Although PM will probably kill the algae, you may still have to scrape off the residue. If this is going to happen, you might do better to rub it down to bare plastic and raise the boot top.

What works for me is: get Cillit Bang ORANGE. Spray over algae. Make a brew, drink brew, remove growth with a stainless steel (kitchen grade) "scourer". I think CB is cheaper than Startbrite.
Ah, by the way, it also bleaches the yellow sheen from the topsides.

Never found that Cillit Bang had as much oomph as the Starbrite stuff, although it does work.

Harpic in the black bottles best and cheapest I know, cleans yellowing on hull as well
