I have always used authentic Johnson Impellers for my Volvo 2030D, but considering using a patent part from Repower Marine.
These are considerably cheaper and according to the website they are OEM quality (and not Chinese)
Does anyone have any experience with these from Repower Marine or any other patent impellers, or are they false economy?
Thanks for any advice

I don't know what you mean by 'patent' but I have bought impellers for my Bukh (Johnson pump) from Repower and have found them very good. They last two years for me, just the same as the Johnson ones.

I looked up Repower online only to find that they are ten minutes down the road and that all the local boat businesses use them. I bought a non-brand service kit for my Volvo KAMD 44 and it was £54. Oil filter, impellor, engine fuel filter and Racor pre-filter. They were very helpful, pleasant and seemed to know their stuff.

Think the phrase you're after is PATTERN parts, not patent. Pattern means they've copied the original and most are OK and worth trying.
