Patch under rowlock

Hi all. I seem to have succesfully completed "inside" patching my inflatable dinghy. Woohoo!!

Next, the easier, outside patches to give a good strong sandwich like bond.

However, I need to patch under the area where a rowlock is to be attached. Can I just fit the round patch with its edge under where the rowlock is to be glued on?

Any advice from those more experienced than me welcome.

I would be inclined to cut a large patch from a piece of the material to include the hole and the rowlock, with a good margin all around. Otherwise the rowlock will not seat properly and may be difficult to glue securely.

That's what I was worried about.

I'll endeavour to do just that

Thanks
