Just back from LIBS - which was great: no crowds, nice boats and sellers desperate for you to see them, space on the chandlery etc etc, mind you, food terrible as ever.

One boat I did like the look of was a 44ft (?) Patagonia. It was reasonably priced and looked to be well-built. Didn't bother with brochure as I thought I'd have a look on the web. But, when I looked, all I got for Patagonia boats were RIBs.

When I checked the exhibitor list for the Show, no Patagonia.

Am I dreaming or was there really a boat there?

About £225k according to the sticker on the side but I thought the finish looked very basic although to be fair, I didn't poke around too much. Anyone know where they're made? Not in Europe I guess

£219k as a show special - though not clear what this included - the boat on display was, I think, over £300k.

Manufactured? Spain? - more likely South America I'd guess. The fact that the website is available in English, Spanish and Brazilian (I'm just listing the flags on the site - I know they speak Portuguese in Brazil) is probably a clue.

Wish I'd gone and talked to the man on the boat now - though, in mitigation, he wasn't exactly trying to attract visitors. There was a big sign saying that you couldn't come aboard unsupervised - and he was sat in the lower cabin with no way of attracting his attention! Maybe he was having lunch .......

Maybe someone at the show (hint, hint) or visiting later in the week could come up with more info?

The glued windows look terrible btw, perticularly the portholes in the hull. Do you trust S American glue?

We looked over it on Saturday. That particular boat is second hand (18 months old I think) and they are built in South America Inside it was a bit diferent - not my taste and the seating in the saloon was a bit spartan. Ugly grey box on the lower helm housing the instruments. Good solid s/s rails all round and good accomodation though.
