Hi all,

I'm sure there has to be someone that has needed a replacement. I found mine last weekend and of course it had a flat battery.

It's an 'Opacmare' four buttoned version. It also doesn't look very bouyant and I would like to try and source a spare before I kick it or drop it in the drink.

Good thinking eh?

It looks like this:

On the back: is BZT written vertically and a Item No. G131 023J

Like this:

It's probably got a marine price tag as it's 4 channel, but does anyone know where best to source an original or if there's a 'Remote man' that offers compatible units.:encouragement:

Thanks,

RR

Thanks Spi D

I tried the 'google' but either it linked back here or I had a long list of date sheets. Couldn't identify which one I needed or where to source? :(

Yes, it learns 4 codes on 433Mhz so it might work.....in theory....
Like I say it should arrive this week. If it doesn't work for me I can post it to you to try. I'm guessing passerelle remotes work on 433Mhz but I don't really know.

Or leave it in a horizontal position and Swmbo has her ironing board? (sorry not very helpful):ambivalence:

Thanks Paul,
Never thought of that.....

Problem is now if she sees your reply, it'll be her that kicks it into the drink. :p

I think Petem has the answer with the abacom dip switch item.

Thanks Pete, virtual cigar awarded. :encouragement:

Please get back on here and let us know how you got on with the eBay self learning remote.

I'm going to give the 'abercom' model with dip switches a try.

Thanks,

RR

Hi

The UK service agents for Opacmare are Osmotec. They are at Hamble, and have a 'contact us' bit on their web site - www.osmotech.co.uk. I needed some parts last year and they were most helpful, if you want an 'original' remote.

Thanks, I have heard of them but didn't connect the dots to Opacmare. I'll see what happens with the Abercom items (which are on route) but they actually look the same. They could well be, but at 1/4 of the cost.
