Passerelle deck fitting

Hi All, my paserelle has a 20mm diameter pin at the end which locates into a 80mm diameter flange type deck fitting with a 22mm sealed tube. This is located on the bathing platform. I want to add another deck fitting at a higher level at the back of the cockpit. I have recently been stern to on some high town quays. What is the correct name of the deck fitting and where could I buy one from. Thanks in anticipation RPP

Just called pasarelle sockets - but you will need to find who made the unit to buy a spare socket or have one fabricated. The only one that is sold in this country AFAIK is the Trem one that is available from Force4, but the pin for that is 25mm.

An inset one is easy for an SS fabricator to make as it is just a tube and a flange. If you are mounting it on the transom you will need a substantial bracket, through bolted with a big backing plate inside.

Try Cooney Marine 01536 484481 thats where i got mine. Can't remember if it was 20mm or 25mm. They may do different sizes.

I've been though all this on this very forum, it's called a Top Hat fitting, for obvious reasons. I wasn't able to buy one so in the end I made one with a bit of help from a friend with a lathe. It's double sided to fit both sides of the folding seat above the bathing platform.

Ive seen a through hull fitting used with a blanking cap on the end.

They are widely available on French chandlery websites, for example U-ship. I bought mine via mail order without stretching my knowledge of French too far. Some of them even have English versions. You could also try Accastillage Diffusion.
