I have just retired and it has always been my dream to cross the ocean on a sailing vessel.I am a beginner, but I know that I can do something. I can pay for my own berth if necessary.I can leave from any port on mainland Europe and I prefer to disembark either in South America or the Carribean. I have all proper travel documents.Buster111@safe-mail.net

Do a cross channel or a trans biscay first, offshore is not for everybody I love it other sailors prefer coastal and cant understand why anybody would want to do bluewater. If you are not into the actual sailing or bird watching it can be very boring and if you get personality clalshes 30 odd ft plus is a very small place.
Book onto a trip with somebody like the juberlee sailiing trust (self, twister owner and Snow leopard can recomend the jst) or the tall ships trusts and see weather you like blue water with all the mod coms (showers every day of the week, unlimited water to drink) and take it from there.
Ps both sets of tall ships go to the Carribean

For anyone with a dream of Ocean Sailing
