Passage from Athens to Spain

I am shortly to commence a passage from Athens to Spain and am struggling to find a reference document showing the prevailing winds at this time of year through the middle of the Med.
Can anyone help? <font color="black"> </font>

You can get this info off the USA Defense Mapping Agency's Atlas of North Atlantic Pilot Charts: these give the average wind direction and strength + sea currents general direction and rate for each month of the year. The Med is added as an inset (bottom right hand corner). You can download these charts free (Uncle Sam is generous...) try Google for the address, come back if you can't find it.

That site is having problems so try this one: choose your month, the Med inset is in the bottom right hand corner, you can blow it up to 200% and it's very clear
